How do I use my Summer Youth Pass?
To use your Summer Youth Pass board your bus and show the pass to the driver. Do NOT tap your card or insert it into the farebox. Check out our handy ‘how-to’ guide.

Where can I use my Summer Youth Pass?
Summer Youth Passes are valid on any local or express bus route operated by County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, and WestCAT. Passes are NOT valid on Paratransit or Transbay service.

When is my Summer Youth Pass valid?
Summer Youth Passes are valid between June 1, 2019 and August 31, 2019.

Can my mom or dad use my pass to get to work?  
No. The Summer Youth Pass is for youths aged 6-18 only.

Can I transfer between bus operators?
Yes. Your Summer Youth Pass is valid on all three bus operators - County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, and WestCAT.

Will my Summer Youth Pass work on BART?
No. The Summer Youth Pass is NOT valid for BART.

Will my Summer Youth Pass work on AC Transit?  
No. The Summer Youth Pass is NOT valid for AC Transit.

I lost my pass. Can I get it replaced?
Sorry. Lost or stolen Summer Youth Passes cannot be replaced. Summer Youth Passes are Non-Refundable, Non-Redeemable, and Non-Transferable.

I don’t need my Summer Youth Pass anymore. Can I get a refund?
Sorry. No refunds shall be made for purchased passes. Summer Youth Passes are Non-Refundable, Non-Redeemable, and Non-Transferable.

Can I use my Summer Youth Pass for fall 2019 school term?
Your Summer Youth Pass is valid until August 31, 2019. That means you can use your Summer Youth Pass to get to school for the first few weeks of the fall term.

However, you must have another valid fare (Clipper Card, cash, multi-ride ticket, etc.) to ride after August 31st for the remainder of the fall 2019 school term.

Is the Summer Youth Pass a Clipper Card?
No. The Summer Youth Pass is NOT a Clipper Card. While it may feel similar, the Summer Youth Pass is not a smart card, cannot be reloaded, and does not communicate with the Clipper system.

Where can I go on County Connection?
County Connection provides service in Martinez, Concord, Clayton, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Alamo, Danville, and San Ramon. Visit https://countyconnection.com/routes/ for route and schedule information.

Where can I go on WestCAT?
WestCAT provides service in Crockett, El Sobrante, Hercules, and Pinole. Note: The Summer Youth Pass is NOT valid on LYNX Transbay service. Visit https://www.westcat.org/schedules/ for route and schedule information.

Where can I go on Tri Delta Transit?
Tri Delta Transit provides service in Bay Point, Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley, and Brentwood. Visit http://trideltatransit.com/ for route and schedule information.

Can I buy a Summer Youth Pass in person?
Yes. You can purchase a Summer Youth Pass in person by visiting County Connection, Tri Delta Transit, or WestCAT’s sales offices.

Can I buy a Summer Youth Pass using cash or check?
Yes. You can buy a Summer Youth Pass using cash or check at any of the three in person sales locations (see above).

You can also purchase a Summer Youth Pass by mail with a check or money order using the following form: English / Spanish

I ordered my Summer Youth Pass online. When will I receive it?
Online orders will ship within 1-2 business days. Orders are sent using USPS First Class mail which typically takes 2-3 business days for delivery.

Who is funding the subsidized Summer Youth Passes?
Eligible passes receive a $25 subsidy and will retail for $35 (REG. $60). Funding for this program is provided by 511 Contra Costa and its partners the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD).
